Tahoe Blue Oyster Petri Dish Culture

Fast-fruiting, Oyster mushrooms are a favorite of mushroom hunters due to its almost year-round fruiting in lower elevations. Our Tahoe Blue Oysters are extremely easy to grow because they can aggressively fruit on a variety of substrates such as hardwood logs, sawdust, straw, used coffee grounds, and other agriculture waste. 

Tahoe Blue Oysters are amongst the easiest mushrooms for a beginner fungi enthusiast to enjoy, watch, and learn from. Cultivated and inoculated right in the Lake Tahoe Basin, Tahoe Blue Oysters mimic the brilliant blue colors of the lake they they were raised from.

Our cultures are made in petri dishes of agar, expanded using high-elevation Tahoe tap water of 99.994% purity, with extreme care and precautions in our sterile laboratories. All cultures are very well performing, commercially viable strains, that have undergone rigorous in house cultivation and testing.

Please note: Unlike our "Grow Your Own" mushroom kits, our cultures do not come with instructions. It is assumed that the purchaser is sufficiently familiar with mushroom culture techniques to utilize these cultures.
